Hi and Welcome!

I'm Kelly Fischer. Photography has been a passion of mine ever since I could hold a camera. It started with a Barbie film camera that I took everywhere! The usual clicks of family and friends slowly evolved into natural landscapes as I started hiking and exploring other places. I grew up near Phoenix, Arizona at a time where there were many fields of cattle, cotton, and corn surrounding the fast-growing city. Although the scene of the surrounding mountains and vegetation was pretty in its own desert way, I did not learn how to appreciate this state's varied landscapes and climates until I moved to the mountains of Northern Arizona. I also discovered my soul's true desires while experiencing the outdoors through camping, hiking, and travel. My adventurous soul longs for both the peace and thrill of outdoor spaces and new places. Life is too short to see everything, but I am certainly going to try! My insatiable desire to capture the natural world with my unique vision is here to stay and it's my pleasure to share my photographs with you! The world is beautiful and I want to capture its essence for all of us to enjoy for years after the shutter clicks. How much beauty can I witness and share in one lifetime? What can beauty inspire?

Something to remember...

Don't forget to stop and ENJOY THE BEAUTY

around you!

As a photographer, it can be hard for me to stop looking at the world through a lens. It is so easy to become distracted. Making sure to stop, look around, and truly experience the world around us is important! Capturing both the moment and the picture has always been a goal of mine. Lately, I've come to understand that I must create a habit of presence so I can sincerely immerse myself in and appreciate the moment of now. What does the air feel like? Is there a breeze or a smell of fresh greenery or florals? What does the sun feel like on my skin? What can I hear? What emotions are evoked with this particular view? I can't capture those fleeting, personal feelings in a photo. If I am lucky, I will remember them later if I take the time to be in the moment now. And, if others can imagine themselves in a place just by looking at my picture, even better! A picture might be worth a million words, but it also contains a million feelings.
